This is my Mock Draft for the 2008 NFL Draft as featured on NFL Mocks, FF Toolbox and Hail Redskins Mock Draft Database. This is my same article you can find on my other website Bronco Madness.
Dolphins: Chris Long, DE, Virginia. As if this guy wasn’t promising enough before the draft began after the combine, this guy is the perfect pick for the Dolphins. He is strong and can shut down opponents easily.
Rams: Sedrick Ellis, DT, USC. Ellis has tons of raw talent to go around and could land about anywhere on the draft board. After an impressive combine he definitely belongs high up on the board.
Falcons: Matt Ryan, QB, BC. The Falcons need somebody to fill the offensive void which they posses. He has all the makings of an NFL star.
Raiders: Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU. I formerly had the Raiders picking Darren McFadden but after losing Warren Sapp and not addressing the defense well in free agency they should choose Glenn Dorsey if they really want to improve.
Chiefs: Jake Long, OT, Michigan. Jake Long is the best OT in this draft class. He has all the skills needed to defend whichever QB they start. They will need it all right.
Jets: Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas. The Jest need to improve there ground game if they want to be playoff threats again.
Patriots: Leodis McKelvin, CB, Troy. After losing both Asante Samuel and Randall Gay the Patriots will be looking to improve a back field which has lost so much talent in one off-season. McKelvin could make a big impact on the team.
Ravens: Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville. The Ravens really need a QB and Brian Brohm is the second best one in the draft. He will become a definite starter if he is drafted by the Ravens.
Bengals: Vernon Gholston, DE, Ohio State. Sedrick Ellis should be their first choice but if Ellis is not available the Bengals will settle for a stronger Vernon Gholston.
Saints, Mike Jenkins, CB, South Florida. The Saints are getting pulverized in the backfield and Jenkins could change this team for the better.
Bills: Malcom Kelly, WR, Oklahoma. I still think DeSean Jackson is the best wide out in this draft class. But a WR is needed for the Bills and the large Malcom Kelly is the perfect complement for the quick Lee Evens.
Broncos: Ryan Clady, OT, Boise State. This guy lost a bit of leverage in the combine but is still one of the best and should be the Broncos 1st pick. He will replace Matt Lepsis better than anyone could.
Panthers: Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Illinois. DeAngelo Williams has yet to prove he can be the main ball carrier for the Panthers and Rashard Mendenhall could be a great pick for Carolina.
Bears: Chris Williams, OT, Vanderbilt. These guys need an OT worse than anyone and Williams would be a good choice for years to come.
Lions: Aqib Talib, CB, Kansas. The Dre’ Bly trade was a bust on the Lions side and so they will use this pick to get a talented CB again.
Cardinals: Kentwan Balmer, DT, UNC. I think that the Cardinals really need a good DT to win and Balmer is a great fit for their style defense.
Vikings: Limas Sweed, WR, Texas. With Troy Williamson leaving to the Jaguars the Vikings are in need of another good receiver and Limas Sweed is fast and can catch extremely well.
Texans: Dominique Rogers-Cromartie, CB, Tennessee State. They have covered the D-line, the linebackers, and now all they need to do is get a CB to complete their defense of the future.
Eagles: DeSean Jackson, WR, Cal. No questions here. Absolutely no questions. The Eagles are in desperate need of a WR and a return man and Jackson is the best player in the draft for both of these positions.
Buccaneers: Keith Rivers, OLB, USC. He will be a great fit for the Bucs and improve a defense that is already talented.
Redskins: Philip Merling, DE, Clemson. They need to improve their D-Line and Marling would at this point be a steal.
^Cowboys: Felix Jones, RB, Arkansas. There are rumors that Cowboys will trade up to the first pick but they are wrong. Felix Jones is perfect for the team simply overshadowed by Darren McFadden.
Steelers: Jeff Otah, OT, Pittsburgh. After surrendering 47 sacks last year the Steelers need serious help with the O-Line and Otah is the best OT available at this point.
Titans: Devin Thomas, WR, Michigan State. After running a 4.40 at the combine Thomas’s hype sky rocketed. The Titans need to help Vince Young and Thomas will do just that.
Seahawks: Jonathan Stewart, RB, Oregon. Shaun Alexander needs to face the facts. He will never be the same player he once was. So the Seahawks need to prepare for that and Stewart reminds me of a once great Shaun Alexander.
Jaguars: Lawrence Jackson, DE, USC. The Jaguars recently lost Marcus Stroud and they love big linemen. Jackson is one of the DE’s of the future and will have an impact on the Jaguars team.
Chargers: Kenny Phillips, S, Miami. The Chargers lost Marlon McCree and are looking for another safety that can make big plays and Kenny Phillips is the best in the entire draft class. I feel like he was made for the Chargers.
Cowboys: Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona. These guys have huge CB problems and Cason can make a difference on this team.
Packers: Fred Davis, TE, USC. Without Bubba Franks the Packers need another TE to fill the void. Fred Davis is the best TE in the draft this year and will help improve a recieving game without Brett Favre.
49ers: Gosder Cherilus, OT, Boston College. It is now obvious that the niners love this guy and I now have changed the pick so they can defend whatever QB they have.
Patriots: FORFEITED!!!!
Giants: Dan Connor, MLB, Penn State. ‘Nuff said.

You have the Saint’s picking a CB at #10 who is not even in the draft! Three QB’s in first round hell of a job.
Comment by liam March 27, 2008 @ 3:36 pmHe kinda is.

P.S: I think you have confused him with Malcom Jenkins. Have a nice day!
Comment by broncomadness March 27, 2008 @ 4:29 pmdid you say the Raiders havn’t addressed defense in free agency? Wow. When did you do this mock? back in December?
Comment by Rick March 29, 2008 @ 10:28 amWow more sarcasm. Lets put it in maybe a better way they do not have a better d-line then they did last year. Maybe you could say that DeAngelo Hall would be considered addressing the defense but it wont effect the line much. The defensive backs should not be the biggest priority.

Comment by broncomadness March 29, 2008 @ 10:51 amOk sorry about the sarcasm. I think the Raiders D line is improved. Kelly is back, Joseph and Kalimba edwards will be a step up over a diminshed Sapp and tlyer brayton. The addition of Dorsey would be great but the Raiders HAVE spent a lot of money in free agency…
Comment by Rick March 29, 2008 @ 4:00 pmHall
Joseph
Edwards
Wilson
They Do have a Better D line than last year
I must admit that it is a valid argument but without Warren Sapp they are not nearly as good. Sapp may not have been as good as he once was, but he was still the heart and soul of that d-line. Glenn Dorsey is the only player in this draft who I feel could replace him. In fact he reminds me of a young Warren Sapp.

Comment by broncomadness March 29, 2008 @ 5:43 pmi watch or attended every game oakland has had for many years now. Sapp was not the heart and soul of the Raiders. He lost a lot of weight to increase his quickness.Because of the lost bulk He was being blown off the ball pretty regularily. The D line actually got better when Oakland picked up gerard warren. The actual leader on oakland’s defense last was line backer kirk morrison. The end was obvious with sapp in jacksonville 3 penelties back to back was obvious.
Comment by Rick March 29, 2008 @ 7:11 pmGarret, as a Bronco fan, whats your take on the Bronco’s off season. From here, it looks kinda like a melt down?
Comment by Rick March 29, 2008 @ 7:14 pmWoodson will not be drafted in the first 6 rounds. His combine was terrible. He may go undrafted. 49ers round one is an unspeakable mistake

Yes I have to admit it has not been as successful as we hoped after losing 3 major jobs. That is GM, O coordinator, and D coordinator. A lot of the reason that it has been viewed badly has been because of the lack of big name signings we usually posses by the end of free agency (Travis Henry, Daniel Graham ,etc.) But after their pathetic performances we faced a dilemma, we needed good players at low prices. So yes it has not been up to par with many other teams, but we have still gotten big names such as Boss Bailey, Niko Koutovides, and Casey Wiegmann at low prices. (Wiegmann was payed less than Chirs Myers who probably wouldn’t have started). Our main focus is now the draft. We need young players of the future. If you want to know something else check my Broncos site Bronco Madness, (First pop up on google if you search Bronco Madness). We are right now watching the draft. Anyhow thank you and I am always open to answering my readers questions.

Comment by broncomadness March 29, 2008 @ 8:11 pmI predict woodson will not be selected until the 3rd round. No earlier. There are way too many better players available in round 1 and way too many needs to use it on woodson. Sorry Garrett, niners don’t take woodson in rd1. maybe a dt or de like kentwan balmer to make up for losing their top dt to retireement
Comment by prospector pete March 29, 2008 @ 9:02 pmit is true it could be unlikely. if not here he could go to the dolphins in their second pick in the second round.
